A Rare Weekend

This will be a rare weekend at Linwood House - there will be no guests. It gives Ron and Gwen the opportunity to truly have their sanctuary to themselves. Grandma will be puttering in the garden, or heading to garage sales if Sarah will take here, and Rob will be working on the studio.
There will be activity but an easy paced one. There is a never ending list of chores to be done and a weekend like this allows us to proceed with some of them.

Sabbath and rest. Perhaps that is what this weekend will be about - time to be paced and relaxed, to enjoy family conversations, read some books or perhaps nap in the hammock in the garden. We all need sabbath rest yet so often it is postponed to "another time".

This is then a reminder that Sabbath and rest are some specifics that Jesus asked us to observe. And we are thankful for this weekend in which to do that.
