Freedom Fridays

We continue to join the Freedom Friday noon time prayer and fasting to call for the release of those in the sex-trade, and human trafficing. As the Robert Picton trial in Vancouver continues, it places a cloud of pain over the Downtown Eastside where many of the missing women lived.

Idelette continues to provide us with prayer and reflection on our Freedom Fridays. Here is the scripture and meditation for today:
Scripture
"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm."
Reflection
"God is over all things,
under all things,
outside all,
within, but not enclosed,
without, but not excluded,
above, but not raised up,
below, but not depressed,
wholly above, presiding,
wholly without, embracing,
wholly within, filling.

By Hildevert of Lavardin, as quoted in "Walking on Water" by Madeleine L'Engle
