Subtlety of Change

Stepping from one month into the next comes in the night, flowing from day into night and into day again. There is no visible sign that you have moved from one to the other.

The Christmas decorations are not only down, they are stored away – they have been moved from visible to invisible for the next 10months.

Transformation often happens this way – it simply moves us from night to day, from one chapter to the next, one season to another, chancing us with the ease that comes with the ebb and flow of the sea.

I think of each person we meet here at Linwood House and the places they come from, the stories they have to share, and how each of us leave something on the other that is part of the imperceptible movement of transformation.

And today we are enjoying the beauty of what has been given to us. Tomorrow we will enjoy what will come from those who spend the next days here at Linwood House. The subtlety of change continues. The wonder of transformation never ceases.
